What is it?

Guitar Hero On Tour: Decades is the second GH game to appear on the Nintendo DS after the critically and commercially successful Guitar Hero On Tour. Developed by Vicarious Visions and published by RedOctane and Activision, Guitar Hero On Tour: Decades uses many of the same gameplay technics that were used in the original, including the innovative Guitar Grip.

Guitar Hero On Tour: Decades focuses on specific decades, ranging over 28 songs across several of the most influential decades in music history. The game also allows you to use wireless capabilities to share songs between On Tour and On Tour: Decades in competitive modes.

How does it play?

The gameplay in Decades is pretty much unchanged from On Tour. The game uses a "Guitar Grip". The Grip provides four buttons, and the player "strums" by using a guitar pick-shaped stylus on the touch screen.

One of the major improvements in Decades is that you can follow a career mode in either lead guitar or bass/rhythm guitar.

Decades can be played with another player over the DS's local wireless capabilities. Additionally, a Decades player can play with another player using On Tour, allowing any song from either setlist to be selected.
