Iwata apparently said Side Scrolling Action, so it'll probably be like Super Mario Bros.

Well I guess that settles it, New Super Mario Bros. 2 it is!
I'm not too sure I like how it looks on the graphical front though, doesn't look like much of an upgrade from the original on DS.

I'll post them up in a bit.

I prefer the 3D ones, but only because I think they get more playtime out of me. I did play Super Mario World and Super Mario Bros 3 to death though back in the day.

New one. A HD version of Super Mario Bros 3 would probably look alot better in 1080p [Derp]

Not sure.. But every time I have use him say in Mario galaxy 2 it kinda annoys me.. Maybe I don't understand why he eats fruit? Even in Mario world snes I just don't wanna jump on him :(

All screenshots added to the OP! I hope they include Wi-Fi in Multiplayer this time, and a few new concepts from the beta of the original. So many ideas that disappeared over development :(
