Anyone had any luck with streetpass yet?

I'm going to take my 3DS along with me at uni this week and see if I pick up anyone on streetpass.
I'm dieing to play the rpg quest minigame with some people's mii's rather than the 'hire a hero' cats [Facepalm]

i went to the anime festival in sydney today & got 38 streetpasses! but best of all.... i got my first ever streetpass DRIVING! no shit!!! [WTF]

Took my new 3DS I got yesterday to SupaNova with me and found 21 Mii peeps over Streetpass. :D I thought I'd get more but still pretty cool.

Wow, 50? Nice work! I was only there for a couple of hours, but walked past tons of lines and people so really thought I'd get a few more then that.

So from the 21 I got I was only able to take like 7 of them with me into the Quest, why is that? Is there a limit to the amount you can meet in a single day and use or do they not play quest or something? Sorry if it's kinda a dumb question but like I said I only got it the other day, cheers.

10 at a time for streetpass quest, dont know why it ignore the other 14

did you exit out of the streetpass plaza at any point? because if you exit out of the streetpass plaza before getting what you want out of the miis, puzzle pieces and streetpass quest, it locks them out

Thanks sjt333, looks like that is what happened. I won't be making that mistake again. :P

Another problem I'm having is connecting my 3DS to my Belkin ADSL2 +Modem with wireless-G Router.

I search for an access point and select my wireless connection, put in security key and attempt to test the connection. The internet signal goes blue straight away on the 3DS and it attempts to connect for a couple of minutes before getting the error code: 003-1101. I’ve even manually set up the connection and it still doesn’t work.

Every time the 3DS shows up in my DHCP client list. I'm putting in the security key correctly and I've tried changing my router channel from 1 and 11. I tried setting up a DMZ Host which didn’t seem to do anything either. I made sure the MAC Address was correct for the filtering and even disabled MAC address filtering. I’ve restarted and soft rebooted the router several times.

I’ve never had a problem setting up anything else wirelessly in my house before and everything else is still working. If anyone has any ideas and is able to help me I’d really appreciate it...

Not bad CMPA, is there a way you can only greet 10 in one day and save the other 7 for the following day so you can use them all in the quest or are the rest just used on the puzzle pieces?

Also I'm all out of ideas about trying to get my 3DS connected to the internet. Is anyone able to help or has anyone encountered similar problems before? -_-

Can I ask what your router is etc? Speed etc? Have you had problems connecting any other wireless products? :O

Nah I've never had a problem connecting PS3/Xbox360, DSi or my laptop. So it has to be something it doesn't like about the 3DS, or something.. :/

This is my router, I've had it for a while and it's always run like a champ.

That would of been embaressing but yes it is enabled. :P

It says it is connected to the internet too when I am on the menu screen, but as soon as I attempt to update it says I'm not connected and fails to connect. :/

Testing the connection too in System settings still fails also.

Well when I try to test my connection it says it cannot connect to the internet. I've tried it heaps. It even says I'm connected to the internet now while trying to update but eventually gives me an error message. (It never commences update - just says attempting to connect to the internet with the blue internet signal showing up the top left like it does all the time)

So it can't be a server thing. Until I update I can't try to add friends or use the internet browser...

the router isnt acting as an access point is it? because i have a belkin g router and my laptop and 360 will connect to it but my phone and 3ds wont and its because the router doesnt actually have an internet connection, it just uses it as a pass through

I just tested my modem/router on my DSi and Xbox360 and neither is able to connect to the wireless. On my laptop it is super slow too and cuts out a lot so I'm thinking maybe the belkin has had it. :/

Street pass is used to connect your 3ds with other people's 3ds by signals when you may be walking past someone with a 3ds console. It can send information such as Mii Streetpass Plaza characters to one another, so you can get puzzle pieces for the jigsaw puzzle minigame.

Some 3ds games also have the streetpass feature, like with Kid Icarus: Uprising, if streetpass is on, you can send orbs to other people who also own Kid Icarus
