How do I save game progress in Barbie and others?

183 Views 8 Posts DS Gaming
I have just purchased a DS Lite for my daughter. It was second hand and came with a games cartridge '260 in 1', without an instruction booklet for the games.

So, we are having difficulty saving our progress in the games, particularly at the moment in Barbie 12 Dancing Princesses. I have created a SAV file at the beginning, which I assume gives it the ability to save progress for next time. But do we then do something to save it when we are finished? Do the passwords displayed at the beginning of each new level have anything to do with it?

The only way we have figured out to stop one game and start another is to turn the whole DS system off and then on again. I am guessing this is not the usual way.

Anyone know how I can obtain an instruction booklet for the games in this cartridge?

Thanks
Aeron
The password system would be the saves, yes.
Thank you. Any idea where I can get an instruction booklet? I have googled and come up with nothing.
Those types of game cartridges don't normally have instruction booklets as the booklets themselves would be hundreds of pages long to accommodate for each game on the cartridge.

What is the name of the cartridge?

=D
Hey Matteh

I responded to this earlier today as well as adding another discussion and they have both disappeared!!

Anyway, I wondered how big such a thing would be! Game is called 260 in 1, with code 260f01 written on it.

Cheers
Aeron
260 in 1 is not a legit game licensed by Nintendo, it is a pirate game. Look on eBay for more info on them.

Yes, but it isn't a flash cart per se, as far as I know.

As for the problem, TildasMum, I have no idea @_@.

I believe I bought a Gameboy Advanced cart similar to this a while back and that one wouldn't save on any game at all, other than that it worked perfectly fine.

So I would say all of these carts don't feature the ability to save, and i'm afraid yours is no exception if this is indeed the case TildasMum. :|
