Games You've Spent Hours Playing

Similar to the backlog discussion, I wanna know what games you have totaled heaps of hours playing. It could be because you spent a long time earning achievements or trophies, or because you're addicted to the game itself. For whatever reason, you've spent a huge amount of time playing games, and I wanna know what ones you've spent the most on!

I'll kick things off with a few games that come to mind for myself personally.

- Left 4 Dead 2: because of the very hard and time consuming achievements that come with this game (which I still don't have all in) and the ridiculously fun online. I did my best to make this game worth importing, and I believe I did so.

- PokéMon Series: As a youth, I gave hundreds of hours to PokéMon. I would spend my school holidays with my mates tplaying the game. I will never forget my first playthrough of that game. My favorite in the Series always has and always will be Blue version, but the one I've spent most hours on is PokéMon Platinum. My initial platt rough got me around 200 hours doing a bunch of stuff and leveling heaps of pokes to Lvl 100. My second play through got me around 100 doing similar things as the first. My most recent play clocked over 400 hours. I spent ages hunting shinies and Ev training a small army until I ultimately stopped.

That's just a couple I can think of off the top of my head, how about you guys?

Day of Defeat: Source was my downfall between 2005 - 2008.

I played the hell out of that, probably at least six hours a night but usually more.

I was an unemployed hobo for most of that time too haha.

Well, I suppose Fallout 3 and Team Fortress 2 are my most played games for long periods of time. I think i've played about 150 hours in Fallout 3 and 120 hours in Team Fortess 2. Orher than them, CoD games are played for ages but I dunno how long.

PS1 - easily Crash Team Racing. Probably my most played ever. I've always wished it had a counter cause I'd love to know how many hours I played that. Being the kid that I was I didn't know any better and played it to death. Bought it when it came out when I was 9 and probably played it everyday for the first 2 days, at about 2 hours a day. And then 5 hours a week for the next 2 years. That is 2710 hours. Shit. So yeah probably not thattttt much, but wouldn't surprise me if it was close to that.

PS2 - San Andreas and Vice City stole probably about 200 hours each. They have counters, should go have a look at all my saves. NBA Live 2004 also took a lot, I would probably put about 100+ hours on that. I never really got into gaming this gen. Didn't buy a lot of games and most that I did buy I found quite boring.

Xbox 360 - I haven't put mass hours into anything apart from Bad Company 2. That has close to 200 hours online and will probably have 250 by the time BF3 hits the shelves. I have lots of other games I have put around 50 hours into, like Fallout 3, LA Noire, GTA IV, NBA 2k8, Bully, MLB 2k11, Red Dead Redemption and Saints Row 2.

PC - StarCraft, again like CTR I cannot say how many hours, but it would be a hell of a lot. I had many 24+ hour weekend streaks, plus the amount of time I played it during the week and at school. Probably looking at well over 1000+ hours. Minecraft would probably have around 100 hours as well. That would be it for PC though.

I'd put my DoD:S hours up to around 500 - 1000 easily. Unfortunately this was before Steam had those counters which tracked gameplay time :(

N64 - Goldeneye & Mario Kart
PS1 - Star Wars: Rebel Assault II & Tomorrow Never Dies. I didn't have many games for ages.
PS2 - San Andreas - Probably close to my most played game ever. So much time messing around/wasting my life.

After stuffing around with old consoles today I remember a few games that I spent countless hours playing.

Atari 2600 Asteroids, Pitfall, River raid and the original Mario Brothers.

NES Super Mario 1 and 3, TMNT, Duck Tales.

SNES Mario World, Star Fox, Stunt Race FX, Star Wars series, Steer Fighter 2.

Mega Drive/CD Sonic 3, Sonic CD

N64 Golden Eye, Mario 64, Banjo Kazooie, Mortal Kombat trilogy(think that's what it was called)

Saturn Daytona

Dream Cast Sega Rally, Sonic Adventure, Tokyo highway racer

Same as Milky. I put so many hours into the original CTR (Crash Team Racing) for PS1. I would love to play it 2 player with my friends after school. I'm now selling it on ebay because I never play my PS1 but i WILL buy it on the Playstation store after it sells!

So many memories of the original Crash Bandicoot games. Good on ya Naughty Dog!

On steam, I've played MW2 the most. Apparently, I have clocked up 825 hours. (Bare in mind, I haven't played CoD since March).
I know that i've clocked over 1000 hours with Halo Combat Evolved on the ol' Xbox.
