[MMGN] New Release - July 29th

Hi Guys,

We deployed a new release of MMGN today.

In this release:
• PC.mmgn.com... has a new background!
• Buy/Trade/Sell forum threads will not be shown on the home page
• Buy/Trade/Sell forum threads is now located at the bottom of the Forums page
• Previews option in News
• Better PM Timestamps
• Linked Games (if a game is present on multiple consoles, it is linked)
• Mobile Prompts - if you visit the full site using a Mobile device (iPhone / iPod / Android), you will be prompted to visit the mobile version of the site
• Bug Fix: Global > Local threads, when a thread is moved from a global forum to a local forum, the thread is no longer global

OMG, the BST forum is a good move. I hated seeing them littering the recent discussions with their ugly abbreviations and their demoted, grey title.

I would like to see some way of easily identifying Admin on the mobile site. A number of members, myself included, use this as their primary access point. I think it's good for us to maintain a visual presence where possible.

I got shot down for this before a few months back, but I would like an online/offline tag so I know if certain friends/EAF/etc members are on line, it helps if we are trying to get games organized.

Yes Admins you can be excused from this so no one knows if your online.

pdark007 is right, there was a list at the bottom, but it wasn't very accurate apparently(I wouldn't know for sure though). But it would be good to see something like this implemented.

Hi guys I mean next to you user name & on your profile, as a lot of other sites I visit have this & imo I think it's good.
Also friend requests would be better sent the old way as in a PM as I miss them on my profile, as I find them hard to see & it's not something I look for. Well I don't really get many friend request really anyway lol

We've never had it, before the merge we used to have a list of members down the bottom of the page that were online, however it didn't work properly I saw it a few times where it said I was online and I hadn't signed in yet.

Personally I still see no reason to have it, if you play games regularly with the same people, you usually have their msn/skype/aim etc, which is much more direct and instant for arranging games.

Just because someone shows as being online, doesn't mean they are sitting at their computer watching this site, because I work from home I log in here, I go do stuff on other sites, I do stuff on my computer etc. I come and go throughout the day, but it would show me as being online the whole time, which isn't really an indication of whether I am or not.

If it's really that important to find out if someone is on this site, send them a PM, most people respond to them quickly if they are actively here.

Please note, the above is just my personal opinion.

just because your friends with people on this site doesn't mean your friends with them in the real world.

I don't see why not. Just make a thread and place it in the BST section? Though, I haven't done it myself, I assume it would be the same. No need to change how they do it.

Ah, so it has disappeared. Perhaps they need to update it to allow normal members to put a thread into that forum.

Those special powers allow you to move threads, which is why you can see it I'm assuming. Fix for us pl0x?

We've fixed the ability to add threads to the B/S/T forums.

Also, we've resolved some issues with PM, please let us if there are any other issues.
