I want one, but it's pointless for me to invest precious effort into discussing a device I won't be getting. If I were to be donated one, I'd probably be much more interested in knowing release schedules and such.

Let's be honest.....

Vita is the biggest POS to hit gaming in the past 10 years.

There, I said it. So much potential yet no one seems to care or actually invest anything into it. I'd love a reason to purchase one, but Sony just hasn't delivered a compelling one yet.

I love the hardware. The design, the power, that side of things Sony got right. Unfortunatley there just doesn't seem to much interest for the device. Sony should be leading the way with a bevy of first party titles to generate some buzz. Where is the love? [heartbreak]

Trying to make a positive spin, here..

I imagine it must be a challenge for game developers to try and incorporate Vita's features into their titles. I've studied game development and believe me, developing a game without touch etc features is a mean task within itself..

We must remember that Nintendo has been in the touch market for several years now and pretty much everything within that market has been covered..

I know I'm likely to get flamed for this, but in my observation, SONY puts a liittle more thought into handheld titles. While it does take time, the results in the finished product speak for themselves..

People are forgetting that this is still a new console.. Unfortunately in the 'I want everything yesterday' society of today, paitence, clearly isn't a virtue..

It's really just ended up being PSP 2.0: Lots of promise, no substance.

I buy classic PSP games every now and then, good games that I can play on-the-go.

But I am looking forward to third-party games, but even the closing months of 2012 aren't that promising. I assume BLOPS2 is coming in November? I hope so!

@mong78 yeah, they put more time and effort into their titles, that's why we were served up Resistance -_-

Personally I think most third-party devs could skip out on the touch elements and just deliver regular games that work well. It doesn't seem to be too much of a challenge for 3DS titles.

Yes I have one..

I use it on a daily basis, for more than just gaming. I'm typing out this comment on it right now.

I think Vita has potential and half the launch titles, especially Wipeout, gave us a glimpse of that..

I love my Vita. Got one recently and love the OS, the software, everything about it. But then again I loved the PSP and most of the western world didn't, so I'm probably the minority.

Also I really think it's a bit too early to make a call on the systems software and where it's heading. Look at that 3DS's first year, no one could have seen the turnaround it made after the lackluster launch in the latter part of the year and early this year.
