I was wondering if there are any other videogame collectors out there. In most cases I hang onto all my consoles and handhelds but there have been a I've sold in the past and now I kinda regret it. So recently I've been scouring ebay looking for bargains on old handheld gaming systems and sort of getting side tracked with Japanese released systems.
Including the current gen systems I've managed to gather up is the DS, PSP, GBA, GBA SP(broken though), Atari Lynx and WonderSwan, and I've just scored a Neo Geo Pocket on ebay which I'm waiting delivery on.

Anyway feel free to use this thread to post up what you have wether it be portable or home systems, or discuss what you would like to get your hands on in the future.

Regarding tools, you can't go past a dremel, or an imitation one. I got mine from Bunnings *shudder* for about $15 I think. It's just Sontax brand, cheapo. Such a good modding tool.

I actually have that same kit, I was using it to make gauge pods for my car. The trouble I had was it had the worst battery life. A dremel kit is what I would really like but the prices are

I guess I'll make do if I really want to get this done.

Yeah, battery life is terrible, I just have mine plugged in when I use it.
A proper Dremel would kick ass but yes, they are expensive.

ok i thought id post my call of duty collection today, i was more into the posting retro collections but i thought about this one, so here it is, youll have to excuse the camera, not bad though if i say so myself.

so yeah ive been a massive fan ever since call of duty came out in late 2003/early 2004. ive enjoyed every game greately (except cod 2 multiplayer that was ****house, beyond that actually. singleplayer was good though.) i wasnt so into the spinoffs such as the ones on ps2, as much as the main series. i only bought one of the spinoffs, the first one "CoD: Finest Hour" and that was quite good i also enjoyed that not to the same extent as cod 1 at the time though...anyway here are the pics.

shame cod 3 didnt have a box either.. i like collecting those too.

OK, thanks for reviving this thread!

Through a random series of events that I won't go into, a guy I met purely by chance spotted our skill tester and I mentioned to him that I am a collector and then he said he had a box of SNES games that I could look at and keep any doubles.

There were a few N64 games in there too...

I got about 11 games out of it but it was heaps of fun to lay them out and have a look!

There was over 100 SNES games (not including doubles), 14 N64 games and 5 or 6 Gameboy games.

Well the thing is that he got them all from a video shop so the boxes aren't original (well, very few any way). He picked up about 200 for $300 a couple of years ago and has dispersed them since.

It's hard to say how much this would be worth and to whom. Video games aren't yet recognised as antiques outside of gaming circles.
