Customer Service - when does it annoy you?

Okay, so I love good customer service. If an employee comes up and asks if I need any assistance with anything, or when I go to them and ask and they give me a detailed explanation, I'm a happy shopper! But when I get asked "can I help you there?" by 6 people, it gets a little frustrating.

Today I went to JB HiFi(Browns Plains if anyone is wondering) to just have a look around as I needed to kill some time. I walked in, got greeted by the man that checks purchases on the way out, then I was asked if I needed any help by a guy who just happened to be standing there, to which I replied "no thanks, just looking for the moment"(replied the same to each person that asked that question, by the way). Then I was looking at the iPad 2 when another guy came up and asked if we(mum and I) needed help, we said no, and kept looking at the iPad 2. This same guy went on to ask us how our day has been, what we have planned for the weekend, then where we worked(mum replied with that she is working on the weekend). Then we ditched him to only be stopped by another guy asking if we needed anything.

To cut the story short, we were stopped 6 times to see if we needed assistance within a 10 minute time length of being in the store. After that, we had to get out in fear another 6 people were going to ask us.

So has anyone had anything happen to them? Eager sales people following you around? Asking you questions? Because I have! [Rage]

P.S. I put the thread on all channels as all channels could deal with something like this. If a mod of the channel does not want it on their channel, feel free to remove.
Outsourced customer service on the phone is the worse.

India and Philippines = THE WORSE
But they speak more English than Tagalog!

Yeah, but it's the understanding English part that they fail in.
Jet star customer service is retarded.

Last night, i was one minute late for my check in, for the last flight of the night from the gold coast to melbourne, and they wouldnt give us our boarding passes. place almost completely empty. This was ridiculous especially when we were on the phone waiting for 25 minutes trying to do a phone check in.

argh. took my boss and i 15 minutes to convince them and we got on just in time...
That sucks. I flew Jetstar back in January, we had the first flight out of Melbourne at like 7.30. Got there at 6.30, the line was giiiiant. And a lady was walking up and down the line grabbing people for the 7.30 flight, luckily. Made sense to ensure no one misses their flights, and it's not often companies like this do things that make sense.
At the Melbourne terminal, they have another line for people checking in if the other lione is huge and people are only there by a few minutes. Not that I will ever fly tiger again unless i have no choice
Amazon.

Their email customer support is like a robot. Like it just looks for one or two key words in the request and picks a standard response.

Time and again I email them and I get a response back that indicates clearly that they didn't read my question, and may relate to only one or two words in my email.
I hate drive thrus at take out places that rush you when you order. Grinds my gears. [Shifty]

Most of the time I do. But I'm lazy sometimes or I'm not dressed well enough to be in public(in PJs). :P

tigers cheapest and most convenient for short and trouble free trips imo. i say short because its only really cheap with carry on only and prolonged trips usually require checked.

I also like the fact with tiger you can just rock up at the airport and not have to worry abotu anything once you're there.

dont like having to show up like an hour or two early for virgin/jetstar.

LOL, trouble free trips my backside, with tiger you have to be there at least 45 minutes before, virgin it is only 30 minutes.

Tiger is cheap, but they will stuff you around a lot.

For the price you pay, I'm willing to wait an extra half hour for my flight, though.

Cheap flights scare me and would rather pay more.
Tiger Airways will have you walking in the rain to board your plane, all your luggage gets wet.. this is Mebourne, don't know of other states though

[Facepalm]
My sister in-law went to fly Tiger and they got to the airport, got told their flight was cancelled and didn't give her a refund.

This was about a year ago but at the time I told her to chase it up but she couldn't be bothered...

But yeah, Tiger is cheap for a reason. :E

Wait....THEY cancel the flight and refuse to refund? Was it an extra cheap sale flight or something?
Not sure of details. They couldn't refund on the spot or something. They were in Europe at the time and had to sort it out when they got back. I remember asking after they had been back a couple of weeks and she said they (her and her friends) hadn't done anything about it yet.

YES!
That's exactly what happened to me in Avalon. Pretty crummy. =_=
Don't talk down Tiger to much I will be going on a plane for the first time in a few weeks and I'll be flying with Tiger. Now I'm worried.

There's a 52 percent chance that you will drop from the sky as flaming ball of plane wreckage crashing down into the ground.
