i read in the paper today that they want to sack ricky ponting for his actions in the last test.

WTF

He is the greatest captain of all time, his batting has improved since taking over the captains hat. i hate this tall poppy syndrome we have here in australia, its so un australian, rather than praising that remarkable win, we try to tear it down.
Acualy its quite australian. we like to put our heros up onto pillars, then chip away at them as we dont like them being "too good"

personaly i think that Australia was unsportsman like in the end of the last test. they played great but they just seemed so aragant. Also i feal bad for India with the horible decsions that the umpires gave them

How was Australia unsportman like? day 5 was a killer of a day in test cricket.
I find it offensive that the Indian cricket team are allendging that Australia were unsportsman like It wasnt a very clever thing to say when there in our damn country

If they want to have a cry, then go home Thats my 2 cents
Who cares about excess celebrating (I assume their "annoyed" that Australia were too happy when they won or something) - what they never seen a soccer game!! LOL
I knew it would be a competative series with the likes of Dravid, Laxman, Tendulka, and Ganguly batting, but i never would have thought it would be like this, bring down the poms or the south africans, as they would have given us a good fight on the pitch.

Go home India, I dont like sore loosers or cry babies, and unfortunatly you fall into that catergory.
Sorry for double posting.

Who would not celebrate after an emphatic win like that.

I agree entirely Sturrman. LOL I seem to say that a lot mate - Great minds think alike LOL
India need to grow up, sure they had some bad decisions against them, but i bet they wouldn't have gone this far if it was a draw. India should go home then, we can verse South Africa and they wont have a cry about it. Like the ashes in '06, it was 5-0 to Australia, but England just accepted it and didn't have a cry about it.

I hope India and Australia can just get on with the series, because so far it has been absolutely fantastic.
If anything India should be thanking the Umpires for creating a fanastic contest, were as it was looking that it would been like the Melbourne test which was pathetic, but it would have been Australia that would have been thrashed.

India are a great team and a great buch of people, but this time it looks like they have taken it too far.

Damn this is a great match, wish i booked my trip earlier,i'd love to watch it live,c'mon Aussies this'll be one good comeback
WICKET !!!!!!!!!
Yes!!! If they can get India all out with a lead of less than 400 we might, might win.
And this time it is out no QUESTIONS Asked.. I love how all the media get on board india now that they got us out in 1 day big deal boys.. Aussies will win no matter what.. You will see Symonds and Hussey show boys..
Whose playing?

...kidding I watched the test last night and it was ok - but I admit I havent watched much of the cricket this year.
on the perth pitch a lead of under 350 is gunna be getable anything over and its tough
Not impressed with selectors, why put tait in if he is injured, why put mitchell johnson in if he is an erratic bowler, and this rodgers guy.

What is wrong with putting Brad Hodge in?

Mitchell Johnson, can not for the life of him bowl on line, he is way to wide.
I agree...who is Rodgers? What is wrong with Daniel Marsh? He consistenly pines domestic attacks year in year out, is relatively young, yet never gets a show.

In my mind, I think Jaques will have a very limited test future.
Hodge hasn't had the best of years, plus they don't seem to like him... they did drop him after he scored a double century a couple of years ago.

Rogers is an opener, replacing Hayden anyway.

Johnson has his spells, give the kid time, when you're replacing someone has accurate as Glenn McGrath you have a lot to live up to.

edit

Marsh isn't an opener either? Jacques won't get dropped unless 2 domestic openers step up to the plate. Because if one does, then they'll save him as Hayden's replacement, he only has 12 months or so left i reckon.
Marsh opens in one day cricket I thought. And yeah I know one day cricket isn't test matches.
Yeah he bats at 6 for Tassie

content-www.cricinfo.com/

Wouldn't of thought he'd have any chance of taking away Symonds' possie at the moment
Fair enough...I stand corrected. Not sure where I got that from.
Turn on the cricket everyone, Johnson and Clarke are smashing them in a last grasp effort. Gotta love the tailenders hitting out!

If one of these go out, then we're deffinantely screwed.
These 2 guys could become deadset legends.
India have no idea!

depend though on sports - I never seen anyone doing back flip or strip their shirts when they "score" on pool table or golf. Unless, you are "Happy Gilmore" or Lleyton Hewitt
