Club Nintendo is going to be an actual site? I thought it was just a cold promotion gimick to get us to buy Mario Kart and Wiifit

yeah and when it is up it will be similar to the Nintendo Europe one and they usually only get stuff like Screensavers and what not, if only we could join the japanese one.

Yeh, I was thinking the same thing. Nintendo Australia would open it when Super Smash Bros is released next thursday. Jerks. What the **** do the call this, the merry friggin wait for Nintendo Australia importing Club Nintendo Europe's ****? They better not, or Nintendo Australia's lost me. In fact the way their going, more people will be putting modchips in their wii's and importing either PAL or NTSC games then people buying locally cause im pissed off with Nintendo Australia and their game release dates. So what if Super Smash Bros is released 1 day before europe, that isn't much of a difference. Oh well, better sit tight and wait... no, in fact why don't I give Nintendo in Melbourne a call and see when Club Nintendo's stars catalogue is released?

I just called Nintendo Australia about Club Nintendo. Guess what they said? Any takers? OK, the chick who answered me said that most people working for Nintendo Australia don't have any details about when the stars catalogue will be released and that when the website's finished, then the stars catalogue is up. When I asked her if our stars catalogue will be similar to Europe's, guess what else she said? Maybe. Yes, that's right folks. Maybe. Mmmmmmmmmmm. We'll have to sit tight and hopefully the catalogue is released the same day as Super Smash Bros Brawl...

Obviously someones taken the url early so nintendo cant use it, then set it up with nothing hoping that nintendo would try and buy it off them. Instead nintendo made a launguage selcetion at the start of their website. This is the real wii website

I have just emailed Jason Hill from The Age's Screenplay column about Club Nintendo Australia and Super Smash Bros. Here's what he said to my email...

Hi Nick,

I received an Australian version of the game today and it does include a Club Nintendo card. I believe all Nintendo DS and Wii games released from now will include the card. Nintendo have said that the Australian prize catalogue will be unique.
