Legacy of Ys: Books I & II shots is a remake of the first two Ys games, Ys I: Ancient Ys Vanished and Ys II: Ancient Ys Vanished - The Final Chapter.
The story follows the adventures of a young swordsman called Adol, who embarks on a quest to find the ancient land of Ys. During his travels, Adol hears the tale of Esteria, a once thriving island that has suddenly become engulfed by a powerful storm. Curious of the mysteries surrounding the storm, Adol plots a course for the island.
