Elite Beat Agents
Australian Release: Out Now
Get ready to roll! As the music plays, players tap the screen, trace rhythmic patterns and keep the beat as the story unfolds on the top screen. They'll rock along to 19 licensed and re-recorded songs across multiple music genres, featuring tunes such as "Material Girl," "Walkie Talkie Man," "Rock This Town" and "Jumpin' Jack Flash."
Every scene is accompanied by rump-shaking tunes, but it's up to players to help keep the Elite Beat Agents grooving. The worse they do, the worse the story might end up. Players also can try their skills in co-op or versus mode with up to three pals via local wireless.
Rhythm games have come and gone, but there has never been anything like the Elite Beat Agents. Whether they're saving a tortured director from a certain flop or helping a babysitter charm a hunky quarterback, no crisis is too weird.
The public knows of government agencies like the FBI and CIA, but little is known of this super-secret agency. Code-named “Elite Beat Agents,” these men in black are heroes’ heroes and the coolest group of guys this world has ever known. Of course, according to official records, they do not exist.

Their leader, an ex-CIA agent named Commander Kahn, scans the world for cries of help. When he finds one, he dispatches the agents, who assist their targets by performing a song and dance. The hypnotic nature of their rocking revives the targets with “Groovy” energy that boosts their willpower and helps them overcome their obstacles.

Every stage is presented in a storyline fashion. All stages share similar basic elements and game flow: The player gets introduced to the target’s problem in a comical intro. Commander Kahn dispatches the agents to the scene. The agents arrive in a special “Beat Transport” that is tailor-made for the situation. The song starts as the agents and player meet the target. By tapping and tracing patterns that appear on-screen, players play along with the song

dont worry about a guy being there cause there is that retarded cay thing there to hog all the fun
The game is the greatest game on NDS and my favourite song is "It Makes No Difference".

given its a rythym game, its quite a challenge, plus you have to listen to the music to keep the beat and in time so you hit the markers well. it's actually quite addictive as well
But of course its not everyone's cup of tea
I played it today(borrowed it from a friend) its a pretty awesome game but i stink at it! I want to get it anyway
Great game this.

I got S rating on every single stage except 2 (because my DS in under repairs) on a defective touch screen. And please for heaven sakes, don't use action replay or cheats for EBA. There's idiots on YouTube showing replays of all 300 Jumpin Jack Flash on Diva setting w/o even proving they can do it for real (with the stylus and all) or w/o proving they own the original cartridge. Realistically, it takes weeks of everyday practice just to get 1 song perfect on the harder levels.

Buy it, hire it... whatever.
It ranks highly on metacritic www.metacritic.com/
Does this game damage the touch screen?? Like in the later stages where it gets harder on the spinning around thing.... Does anybody accidentally press down on it harder to make it spin faster to get a better score/S class rating.... Must finish with all S class to complete the game properly

It's a fun game though.

If you're playing it properly and not applying stupid amounts of force like any game it won't damage the touch screen.

I do. Go force! But the touch screen was already defective so I was firm anyway. Also, you cannot go fast without pressing the touch screen firmly or else it won't spin (and this is on a new ds).

Then again, what is a reasonable amount of force?

yes jon, I was referring to you when I typed what I did before tsk tsk tsk tsk.. DS killer!!!
This game is great fun! Picked it up in the Kmart clearance bin for $16

But, has anyone noticed that when you play with earphones it's harder to keep the beat? I don't know, maybe my ears are too picky, but it seems a little off when I've got earphones in as opposed to just listening via the speakers...

That's because of those over sized elf ears you have Omi
