Its like a cradle that you slot the DS lite into, and it allows you to hold more like a controller so its more comfortable in your hand. PSP have a few like this

Yuck. Looks like the Dual Shock controller. For all we know the grips could be cast from the same mould as a third-party Dual Shock.

I got one! Used it mainly for MechAssault and Metroid prime does make it easy on the hands for those long game plays!
