3DS XL gets its own Circle Pad Pro, not inbuilt

Nintendo has forgone all logic and decided against in-building a second circle pad into the beefed up 3DS XL. Instead, it will get its own oversized Circle Pad Pro.

The original 3DS accessory adds a second analogue nub. However, it is too small for the enlarged redesign.

As soon as the original lopsided contraption was released, speculation mounted that Nintendo would launch a redesign with the second Circle Pad in-built under the face buttons. We can finally put those rumours to bed, but not in a good way.

How massive is this thing going to be with an XL Circle Pad Pro?

haha nintendo is retarded [Facepalm]
wow, thanks nintendo -.-
I thought it was pretty obvious from the design that it wouldn't be included :P

Yes. They're retarded for not including a second circle pad in the design of what's supposed to be an alternative to the original 3DS

They actually are :P

Either fully support it or not at all. Half-assed is rubbish.
Its because Nintendo make their money from the countless accessories not the consoles 3DS XL gets its own Circle Pad Pro, not inbuilt
It's a alternative to the 3DS, not a revision. There's a reason the only difference is the screen size.

It's just a 30 dollar add-on you have to buy if you really want one. :P

Alternative and revision are much the same thing.

The DSi was just an alternative if you wanted some cameras, but it was also a revision.

Point being, the second C-Pad makes heaps of sense, but this doesn't suggest Nintendo is on the same wavelength.

Don't argue this Jay, it's cool to hate on Nintendo, logic has no place.
The CPP for the XL obviously wont follow the same form factor as the original. Let's wait to see the design. It may slot around the face and position the second circle pad below the buttons. If it were to position it to the side like the original, this thing would be HUGE [WTF]

Ben said:The DSi was just an alternative if you wanted some cameras, but it was also a revision.

I can't argue with that (it had some nifty little extras aswell, like a OS to preceed the 3DS's one, and a DSiware store), but the DSiXL wasn't a revision. It was just an alternative to the DSi, nothing more. In the grand scheme of things it changed nothing but the screens size, same can be said about the 3DS XL.
Damn how big do they want this thing to be?! They might as well call it 3DS XXL. [MOG]
the problem with the Circle Pad Pro is the weight of it. It has more weight on the right hand side than the left hand side so it feels lopsided. And it's not that comfortable.

That and in Kid Icarus you can't use the L2 and R2 buttons. You still have to use L and R on the 3DS and that can be quite awkward and very hurting.

It feels quite comfty to me after about 10 minutes. I tend to get used to the awkwardness rather quickly and adjust to it.

nah you're just crazy
What weight, it's as light as a feather
Holy fudge guys, I make the same argument every time an article like this comes out and everyone else just posts the same points time and time again. What, does everyone's sense of logic and long-term memory just shut down whenever browsing a Nintendo-related topic? I give up, there's no point anymore.

*cries moar* :'@
Believe it or not. The 3DS doesn't actually NEED a second analogue nub.
I don't know why they would need to put in a second one due to the lack of games that actually have a use for it mainly Metal Gear Sold 3DS Resident Evil Revelations Use It. I'm not counting Kid Icarus because you only can use it for left handed people. :D
