It was
reported earlier this week that a special "Pokémon Game" Announcement was to occur after the newest episode of the Anime Series premiered in Japan today. There was much speculation as to what the announcement would reveal, and it's probably safe to say that not many people expected it to be what it ultimately turned out to be.
Instead of a new game, It has been revealed that the "special announcement" will be the distribution of a Mewtwo. Available for Pokémon Black and White Games, this Special Mewtwo will be available for a free download via WiFi between September 26th and October 31st (for Japanese players only).
What makes this Mewtwo so special? Junichi Masuda (one of the Game Freak board of Directors) has announced that the Mewtwo will be holding a King’s Rock (an item that increases opponent’s flinching) and will know the attacks Psystrike, Shadow Ball, Aura Sphere (its 4th attack will be revealed next week). It will be level 70 and will come in a Cherish Ball, with its OT Being “PokeSuma” (Pokemon Smash).
The distribution will take place only in Japan, and is yet to be confirmed to take place anywhere else in the world (although the Mewtwo will probably makes its way around to English speaking countries from some other method).
