After being mysteriously absent at E3 this year, Animal Crossing 3DS has finally been given a planned release within the first half of 2013 for Europe, while Japan will get it by the end of this year.
The game was confirmed for release by Nintendo of Europe president Satoru Shibata during the European Nintendo Direct presentation, and was also given an accompanying trailer in the Japanese presentation, as shown above.
Though brief, the trailer showcases all that fans have come to love the series for, such as interacting with the village's animal residents, visiting Tom Nook and the Mabel Sisters, and exploring the town. The video also showed off some new features which utilised the 3DS's StreetPass functionality: the game reportedly will allow visitors to come to a player's town using StreetPass.
Have a look at the trailer above for yourself and breathe easy knowing that the most underrated Nintendo exclusive is still definitely on the cards.
