No Prestige Edition for Modern Warfare 3!!

It has been confirmed, today, that there will not be a Prestige Edition of Modern Warfare 3. The news was revealed by creative strategist Robert Bowling via Twitter.



The last two Call of Duty Games had Prestige Editions (which is a large bundle with a lot of extra content at a high price, for those of you unfamiliar with it), but this time around players will have to settle for the regular retail release, or the fancier 'Hardened Edition'.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 will be released November 8th.

I can still find the Black Ops "Prestige Edition" on shelves these days. They should really base supply on demand; put out the same number of "Hardened Edition" copies as pre-orders, and add 30% of pre-orders as well. That should be enough so that everyone who wanted one gets one, and it doesn't end up being everywhere and not really "Limited Edition" at all. [Facepalm]
