Animal Crossing: New Leaf release date announced

3DS title Animal Crossing: New Leaf will finally hit shelves this June 14, Nintendo announced today in their Nintendo Direct announcement. It will be released on the 9th in the USA.

One of the more popular titles for 3DS in Japan, having sold nearly 3 million copies since its November release last year, you play as the mayor of an animal village and allows you to customise as you see fit, including characters, houses and the town.

Australia still has no official date. :(

I was hoping it wouldn't slip to mid-year, arghh so frustrating. Oh well, I'm sure it'll be worth the wait.
