Japanese publication Famitsu has released new details on Animal Crossing 3DS- now given the full title of Animal Crossing: Jump Out - which has been translated by Nintendo Everything.
In addition to the redesigned characters and StreetPass features, AC: Jump Out has a new thrift shop run by Lisa the Alpaca, a new shoe store, the familiar Able Sisters clothing shop, a full shopping mall just outside town, and a gardening store run by a sloth, which is the first in the series.
The focus for players of the game will indeed be playing as the Mayor of the village, though it's unknown as to what this means for the series's previous lovable Mayor, Tortimer.
Roofs, doors, posts, fences now appear to be customizable, the museum will reportedly be open 24 hours a day with a new Exhibition Room and Museum Shop added, and there will be a bigger collection of fish and fossils to find. The gardening store will offer seeds and seedlings.
The most interesting part of the report is Tom Nook's expanded role. The iconic Raccoon seems to now be a real estate mogul, managing "Racoon Housing", where players can purchase an early tent and gradually customize and build towards a larger home. That sly Nook's always on top of ways to get paid, and the new details are sure to please AC fans looking to recreate and revisit their favourite villages once more.
