Pokemon Black and White Version 2 Australian release date

Rejoice, Pokéfans, Nintendo has announced that Pokémon Black Version 2 and Pokémon White Version 2 will be released in Australia and New Zealand on October 11, a day before Europe.

Developed for the original DS, Black and White 2 is also compatible with the current generation 3DS, and the upcoming 3DS XL in 2D mode.

On the side, Pokémon Dream Radar will be available through the 3DS eShop on the same day. Pokémon caught in the downloadable spin-off can be transferred to Black and White Version 2.

The first direct sequel in the Pokémon RPG series heads back to the Unova region two years after the events of Pokémon Black & White. There are new areas to discover, old friends to reconnect with and Pokémon to catch from outside of Unova.

Out in the US on October 7, so it's a worldwide release for English speaking regions.

@Ben - True, but as @Blob said, you'd think they'd be able to put enough translators on to make the release dates closer, or even the same. I want my Pokemon fix! :'@

5 months is a good locailization time considering how text heavy Pokemon games are.

The point is that this translation business should've been done during development so that it could be released world wide roughly around the same time. No wonder people pirate or import these games, it's because people shouldn't have to wait to get a game that one country has had for months! *dies*

To be fair, most companies are struggling to keep up with how quickly media has become gloablised.

Look at TV for instance. US and UK TV is already the same language, nothing needs to be done to it, and it still takes weeks to air it here. And when it does air within a few days of the US, the networks make a big deal out of how amazing it is.

If we can't even sort that shit out, anything that needs a translation is screwed.

I've never minded waiting for games to come out I feel happy about that ability! When this one does hit my shores I will play it till I beat the Elite Four only catch what I'd want for a team then trade my team to my friend and start over again using the same team traded back to me it's something I do for some weird reason lol but the second play through I focus on catching them all too.

You'd think so, but no. It's more effective to wait until all the text is finalised before translating. If a change is made somewhere in the middle and it references (or is referenced by) other connections, then it's more than a simple 'find all, replace all' to search for and fix those inconsistencies.
