Animal Crossing: Wild World - 10 / 10

Animal Crossing: Wild World It's difficult to describe to someone who's never played Animal Crossing: Wild World just what makes it so wonderful. You catch fish, go shopping, and chat with your neighbors. To some, this might sound like an incredible waste of a game card. But believe me, this game is way more fun than you think it is (and that includes those of you who already think it sounds great).

The basic premise of Animal Crossing: Wild World is this: You're the new kid in a town full of friendly (and slightly weird) animals. When you first arrive, you meet up with your new landlord, the local shopkeeper, Tom Nook. After he realizes that you are completely broke, he employs you at his store doing odd jobs. After you make a set amount of money, you're free to do as you like. This is where the fun starts.

You get a whole lot of bang for your buck, because you virtually never run out of fun things to do: You can expand your house and decorate it however you like, design and wear your own clothes, catch bugs and fish, dig for fossils, buy rare paintings, shoot down balloons with your slingshot, support your local museum, have your fortune told, buy accident insurance, design constellations, listen to live music, get a great deal on furniture at a yard sale, celebrate holidays (the time of day and seasons change in real-time), write letteres, listen to your neighbors bicker and gossip, and much, much more.

Another thing that makes this game remarkable is that it seems appeal to an incredibly broad range of people; everyone from my eight-year-old cousin to my teenage brother to my mother loves it.

This game is colorful, charming, and ridiculously fun to play. I can't recommend it to you enough.
