Review Intro
Before I start this review, I would like to admit a couple o' things for the reader. First off, I had my doubts about this game. And of course, more importantly, I have not finished this game yet... Duh. I got it as soon as I could, which is to say, 20 past 6 in the afternoon in the afternoon. And I had to wait longer to actually PLAY THE THING.
Now, with that out of the way, I'd like to start my review. Another thing, I'm playing the game right now. Which shows that it keeps me going. And not just for this review, I want to check the game out. I already have a secondary goal, although this tends to be staple for Pokemon with me. I must get a Psychic, a Ghost, a Dark and a Dragon type. They're always cool, if not effective. DRAGONS. ARE. COOL.
Back to the game. Again. This game is the same thing, but mixed up. The guys that did this made a pain-in-the-ass for themselves (to have to remake everything but the engine, probably.) "Oooh. Let's make a NEW game, where you see no hide nor hair of the old Pokemon, except after the National Dex is aquired."
Yes. All I've seen are these new Pokemon. I'm not impressed by all of them, especially a few... The Aipom copies. They're monkeys. Of 3 different types now, of course. You get one that is affective against what's affective on your starter for free... And of course because I decided on Snivy (better known as Smug Leaf), I got the WATER type version. They're all pan___. I got Panpour. The others are Pansear and Pansage. And the other, and the possible worse... Trubbish. Who is a rubbish bag with rubbish at it sides. I sincerely hope this rubbish (hehe) pokemon is a joke.
The gameplay is as usual. Everything you expect. The graphics make for a nice display now. The 3D is better, and in one circular town the camera spins. During battles they move about when not being told to use A move on B opponent. And of course when idol it goes to whacky camera. Although very little of this review has been properly been gone through, I'll try to put some more detail in the end.
Gameplay - 8/10
All you could really expect from Pokemon, really. I took 2 away from a perfect score because... It could be better, I guess? If you give something 10/10 you're likely lying. And they took out some great features. For instance, we all have to HOLD B TO RUN again.
Presentation & Sound - 7/10
The sound, although not always memorable are okay to listen to... for a while. They get annoying and repetitive easily.
Overall Conclusion
Overall, despite speculation on my behalf, this is actually not a half bad game. Hopefully your reason to buy it won't be this review or to keep on the know with your friends, but just because you want this game.
This game deserves a 8/10
P.S. Please leave comments. My last one was good, and I'm wondering if this one is.
