Rayman Raving Rabbids TV Party

Rayman Raving Rabbids is back, and this time they have invaded your tv, and it’s up to rayman to get those crazy bunnies out. Now this series started back on the playstation 2, DS, Wii with rayman, of course the wild bunnies were not on this game, it was all about rayman. The next game we saw was Rayman Raving Rabbids, which made it on playstation 2, Wii and DS. It was more different to rayman. You had to do some of the weirdest minigames I have ever seen in order to impress the rabbids. Then after that came Rayman Raving Rabbids 2, which was still on the same consoles and had you travelling around the world doing minigames , the game was actually better than number 1 in my opinion. Then came Rayman Raving Rabbids TV party on Wii and DS.

Story
The story is pretty simple starts off with the Rabbids jumping in a toilet and getting transformed into raymans TV. And it’s up to rayman to kick all those rabbids out of the TV until he can watch TV in peace. Now the story isn’t really good, and it is pretty simple. C’mon I’ve seen far better stories than this; lucky it does let you skip through the story. The story on the DS is really bad compared to the Nintendo Wii. The story is very simple and lame i recommend skipping it and getting on with the game.

Gameplay
The gameplay is usually using the touch screen and the mic, sounds pretty good, well it’s a good way to use the gameplay but it’s just that the game doest always respond immediately which will make you have to tap the screen very hard to get a response. The style of gameplay is good but I would of liked to see some d-pad controls in it, it barley has any. So the style of gameplay is good but the response might let you down a little.

Sound
The sound in this game is very basic, even when you go in a minigame. The only good part of the sound is the minigame songs, which are good songs but the rest of the sound is basic. They could have put some of those songs in the background but instead they decided to use some sounds. But I guess it is better than having no song or Rickroll in the background. So the music was good but the sounds are not a very smart choice.

Graphics
The graphics are good compared to the last rayman raving rabbids games. Most of the place that you will notice the good graphics is in the minigames. In fact the graphics are really good for a handheld. Well you might notice better graphics in other games like Kingdom hearts or Final Fantasy. But Rayman Raving Rabbids is pretty good for itself. The graphics are really good but not excellent.

Minigames
Now on to the minigames, what would rayman raving rabbids be without minigames? Not even a game in my opinion. As you all know the minigames is the main part in rayman raving rabbids. Now the minigame are fun but could be better, they are not something that you will go WOW. It’s just fun although some of the minigames are really hard while some are so simple and that is kind of weird. The minigames use the touch screen most of the time, the other times you will either use the mic or D-pad. The minigames do not have any depth which means some can finish within seconds, and also the minigames are very simple. Okay the minigames are fun but nothing really amazing.

Depth
This game is really short with only 5 short boards. And I could finish it in less than an hour, seriously. If the game had more depth it would make it more interesting but sadly the game is really short and even when you finish the 5 boards it will make you play through it again, I don’t see how that is fun. The depth of the game is short, if it had more depth I would be more interested.

Controls
The controls just use the touch screen and the mic which is pretty basic but at least it works. They used every possible way to game which is good but sometimes might not work. But I guess the controls are good.

Is it fun
The game is fun but like I said if it had more depth and more minigames it would be really fun.

Value
The value for Rayman Raving Rabbids is good but nothing to big.

Story – 6
Gameplay – 7
Sound – 7
Graphics – 9
Minigames – 8
Depth – 5
Controls – 8
Is it fun – 8
Overall – 7
